Activities
Activities
available in the West Chilcotin are endless, and far too numerous
to list here. Aside from year long events
occurring in different regions, there are also lots of self-designed
activites. Bring a sailboat, your fishing boat,
canoe,
fourwheeler, or horses in summer, and cross country or downhill
skis, snowboard, snowshoes or snowmobile
in winter. Sit around a campfire, help on a cattle drive, go hunting,
birdwatching, and take lots and lots of pictures!
There are lots of events to attend from Williams Lake to Bella
Coola from Rodeos to Fall Festivals and everything in
between including winter events such as icecutting at the resorts
and snowmobile rallies. Check with your hosts or
the Coast Chilcotin Tourism Assoc. for a list of events available
for your time frame. Or call John, the proprietor of
Mclean Trading located on main street in Anahim Lake at (250)
742-3266. He has said he would be more than happy
to answer questions about the area and some of its history and
help visitors out with directions.
